I love your ongoing child abuse series Zee, I wish I would have thought of it first! I often wonder, what are these children really absorbing from these inculcations. There is no such thing as a Jewish, Christian, Muslim or any "religious" child. Judging from the 2,000 year, ongoing primacy wars one can only deduce that a significant number of these "innocents" are raised believing that their tribe is the one true tribe and their "god" made promises to them that cannot be broken....even if that means reducing our world to radio active waste. To answer this question, you'd first have to know whether these people are Orthodox. There's likely to be a fair amount of pathology there. Otherwise, Jews do not psychologically torture their offspring as Christians do. In Judaism it's not about what you believe but how you behave. So as long as you marry a nice Jewish girl, call your mother regularly, go through the motions of religiosity on holidays or designated occasions, and--for most--support Israel, you're OK.
